I provide individual and group therapy using a variety of theoretical approaches. However, my most common approaches include Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Enhancement, and Person Centered Therapy.
I believe that individuals have the potential to address and resolve their difficult life issues with the appropriate support and guidance of therapy. Individuals seek counseling for a variety of reasons but ultimately because they desire a change in a particular situation or condition. As a result, I view my role as a facilitator working with the client in the change process.
Counseling can benefit most anyone who is willing to remain open to the process and work proactively with the therapist. There is never a guarantee that any one person will have a successful counseling experience. Immediate changes may result, but usually hard work, time and patience are needed for lasting changes to occur.
