Research reported by the Center’s for Disease Control (CDC), states that the prevalence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) continue to increase. In addition, Arguments abound about the over diagnosis or misdiagnosis of ADHD and it’s distinct and troubling symptomatology.
Often parents and teachers describe; “She is in another world and can’t stay focused” or “He bounces off the walls.” One frustrated grandmother even stated, “I don’t care if he has ABC…DEF or G the boy is just B-A-D and he needs a butt whooping.” Regardless of the descriptors, ADHD and it’s concomitant symptoms, have taken a toll on children, teens, parents, teachers and the medical and behavioral health care system.
This training will account for the complex nature of ADHD and will outline clear steps to make a careful and accurate diagnosis, it will also teach substantiated best practice treatments, and introduce innovative approaches and promising research including the hunter gather theory and its implications.
